We try to practice…Loving God, Loving People!

A bit of our history

In 1983, Pastor Sam Bailey and his wife Annette were called to serve a new local congregation of thirteen people, which ultimately became Twin Lakes Baptist Church. From humble beginnings in a rented building, the church has grown and developed over the years. Twin Lakes Baptist Church has experienced an unusual blessing from the Lord over its history. Thousands of people have been saved and baptized and churches have been planted around the world through the TLBC missions’ outreach. The church has always been and continues to be a warm, friendly, and vital community of believers whose focus is glorifying God and seeing people come to know Jesus personally.

The history of TLBC is rooted in the faithfulness of believers who, since the first church in Jerusalem, has remained true to the simplicity of the Good News of Jesus Christ and the endeavor to find creative ways to share that Message with our community and throughout the world. We have been committed to a vital worship experience, expositional preaching, and evangelistic missions to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Throughout all we do, we are committed to loving God and loving others.

TLBC was originally established as an Independent Baptist Church founded on the teaching of Scriptures and the sharing the saving message of Jesus Christ. Retaining these convictions to this day, we became a Southern Baptist Church in 2015. Uniting with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, and the White River Baptist Association, TLBC voluntarily partners with these other churches in-order-to spread the Gospel to the world.  We believe we can accomplish much more for the Kingdom of God by working together with those of like faith.

Our church facilities are situated on 17 acres on Highway 62 on the west side of Mountain Home,

Arkansas.  There are four main structures in a total of 77,663 square feet: the Worship Center, an Education building, an Office and Children’s Center, and the Hope Center. Opened in April 2007, the Hope Center is a 33,748 square foot multi-purpose facility. Included in the Hope Center is a chapel, a full-size gymnasium, complete commercial kitchen, exercise and aerobic rooms, eight restrooms (four with showers), a walking track with video monitors, conference room, office space, youth center, and over a dozen classrooms with full audio/video multi-media capabilities.

The Worship Center is spacious and includes a sizeable choir loft, modern praise band equipment, and video/power-point screens. Included in the Worship Center is a large, attractive nursery and preschool area.  Throughout our campus, we have plenty of classrooms for small groups and large rooms for fellowship. And on Sundays, we have golf carts to help get folks from their cars to the buildings.

We hope you will consider being our guest; we would love to meet you. We want people to be able to find a church to call home and a group of believers to call family.
