In 1983, Pastor Sam and Annette Bailey were called to pastor a local congregation of thirteen people, which ultimately became Twin Lakes Baptist Church. From humble beginnings in a rented building, the church has grown and developed for 30 years. It continues to grow steadily, with over 2500 people currently on the membership role.
Twin Lakes Baptist Church has experienced an unusual blessing from the Lord over its 30 year history. Thousands of people have been born again and baptized. Churches have been built around the world through the TLBC missions outreach. The church has always been and continues to be a warm, friendly and vital community of believers whose focus is glorifying God.
The church facilities are situated on 17 acres in a prime location in Baxter County on Hwy 62 SW with four main structures housed in a total of 77,663 square feet: the worship center, an education building, an administration area and the Hope Center. Opened in April 2007, the Hope Center is a 33,748 square foot family life center. Included in the Hope Center is a chapel, a full size gymnasium, complete commercial kitchen facilities, exercise and aerobic rooms, eight restrooms, four with showers, a walking track with video monitors, conference room, office space, youth center, and over a dozen classrooms with full audio/video multi-media capability. The history of TLBC is rooted in the faithfulness of believers who, since the first church in Jerusalem, has remained true to the simplicity of the Good News of Jesus Christ and the endeavor to find creative ways to share that Message with the world.
