Missions

We believe the Lord has called the church to make disciples of all tribes, tongues, and nations of the world. To fulfill this command called the Great Commission we pray, give, and go to our neighbors, our nation, and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our strategy involves mission partnerships locally, nationally, and globally.

LOCAL

Because we love our neighbors, we want to serve our local community. We do this by interacting with others where we live, work, and play. But we also have focused efforts where (Connect classes and churchwide) we engage in specific evangelistic efforts of praying, serving, and financial support. TLBC has many different partnership ministries we come alongside to help. We support caregiving ministries such as Ozark Center of Hope and Threshold Ministries. We also help addiction recovery groups such as John 3:16 Ministries and Care Center Ministries. TLBC partners with Informed Choices (Pregnancy Center) and evangelistic and discipleship groups such as the White River Baptist Association, Iron Horse Disciples (motorcycle ministry), Baptist Collegiate Ministry at ASUMH, and Cross Trail Outfitters.

NATIONAL

God cares about our nation and so do we. To help reach our nation, we support the Arkansas Baptist State Convention and the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention who have missionaries throughout our state and nation. We also fund one of our own members Mollie Clark reaching college students with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship in New England. And we are currently assisting Faith Missionary Church, a church plant in Springfield MO of Slavic immigrants primarily from Ukraine.

GLOBAL

From the beginning of our establishment as a church, our members have hungered to get the Gospel to the nations. TLBC is blessed to have sent mission teams and funded plant churches in Brazil, Peru, and Ethiopia. We support one of our own members Steve Persenaire with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Indonesia. TLBC also partners with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and with Operation Christmas Child.

Since every member is part of God’s plan to reach others, we hope you will pray about how you can be involved in reaching our community, our nation, and our world. God may be calling you to become a long-term missionary and we pray for more to surrender to this great need. We also know that not everyone can go live full-time on the national or international mission field, but everyone can pray, many can give, and some can go on short-term trips. Ask God how you can be part of His mission and let us know if we can help you find a place to serve.
