Derek became the Co-Pastor of TLBC in May, 2021. Derek is passionate about missions, expository preaching, and seeing people grow in their walk with Jesus through the study and application of God’s Word. He is gifted at teaching the Scriptures in such a way people can make immediate application. During his doctoral studies, he developed a discipleship system of systematic study for small groups connected to the weekly sermons. We call it Sermon Based Bible studies. Derek is also known for his passion to see the Gospel spread across various cultures and people groups and has taught Scripture in several countries.
