About The Institute 

Join us on Tuesday evenings, beginning January 2025, to earn your Associate Degree in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University, through Twin Lakes Baptist Church. Each semester, you'll be guided through biblical, relevant, and rich content that is structured to equip you for vocational ministry. Taught by highly educated masters and doctorate professors, these classes are designed to give believers a firm grasp of theological truths ministerial methods. No matter what stage of life you're in, Twin Lakes Bible Institute is crafting a program that will meet your needs and enrich your knowledge of God's word and the ministry He calls you to.

To make classes most accessible, they will be held in the evenings each Tuesday. The first class will be from 6-7 PM; the second from 7:15-8:15 PM. Students will meet in our Administration Building (to the right of the Sanctuary). Each semester will consist of a consecutive 10-week period. The cost for earning an Associates in Biblical Studies is calculated per class. Each class is 3 credit hours and costs $150.00.

Q.  How much is each TLBI course?
A.   Each course costs $150.00.

Q.  When are the first TLBI Classes going to start?
A.  The first TLBI courses are set to begin Tuesday January 7th, 2025 and continue every Tuesday for 10 consecutive weeks.

Q. Is there a deadline to register for a TLBI course?
A. Yes. Registrations and payments are to be received no later than two weeks prior to the course start date.

Q. Are there fees for course registration?
A. Yes. There is a nonrefundable registration fee of $50.00 per registered course.

Q. Who will be teaching the TLBI courses?
A. The first two courses will be taught by Pastor Sam Bailey.

Q. Is there a deadline to register for a TLBI course?

Q. How do I register?

Q. Can I transfer credits earned at TLBI?
A. Yes. Each class is equal to 3 credits. Completing all 15 TLBI courses will equal 45 credit hours and can be applied toward an AA with Louisiana Baptist University (LBU). All credits are transferrable to any college. Visit https://lbu.edu/getting-started/ to see education opportunities.

Q. What is the TLBI refund policy?
A. When a student withdraws from any registered course, the course refund policy will apply as follows: To initiate the withdrawal process, please notify the TLBI office in writing. The date the office receives this notification will be used to determine the amount of course payment to be refunded. Please note that refunds apply only to course payment and not to enrollment fees, and there are no exceptions to this policy.
Refund of registered course payment is as follows:
Within 30 days from enrollment date                   80%
31 – 60 days prior to course start date                60%
61 – 90 days prior to course start date                40%
After 90 days from enrollment date                     0%

Q. What is the TLBI cancellation policy?
A. The cancellation referred to as the re-engagement policy for TLBI is when a student is officially dropped from TLBI. The student will not be responsible for any remaining unpaid course(s) from the original registration agreement. The registration process will begin as new and course payment with registration fee will be required.
If the student is reinstated and has paid in full, they will be responsible for the difference between the old and new course rates for any course hours not previously completed. Paid completed courses will remain under the original registration agreement.
If the student has made partial payments towards the original registration agreement, these will be credited to the new registration agreement. Any courses completed but not yet paid for will be included in the new registration agreement.

Q. How do I pay for TLBI courses?
A.  Payment can be received three different ways. Sending a check in the mail, paying in person at the TLBI office, or paying online.

  • If paying online, visit:  www.twinlakesbaptistchurch.com/TLBI to complete and submit the TLBI course registration and pay online.
Q. Is there a meet the teacher time or course orientation?
A. No. The first class will cover introductions and greetings.

Q. Are there prerequisites for TLBI courses?
A.  Yes. A student does need to take BIB 205 Life of Christ I before BIB 206 Life of Christ II. No other prerequisites are required. The remaining courses are standalone. Q. What are the requirements to register with TLBI?
A. A High School Diploma or equivalent is the only requirement.

Q. How do I get an AA?
A. Complete all 15 TLBI courses (45 credit hours). Then, go to the Louisiana Baptist University (LBU) website https://lbu.edu/getting-started/ to register and complete the following required classes:
  • RES 101 Orientation                              3 Credit hours (automatic credit is given)
  • ENG 101 English Composition I             3 Credit hours
  • ENG 102 English Composition II            3 Credit hours
  • SCI 311 Beginnings Under Attack          3 Credit hours
  • BIB 320 Church History I                        3 Credit hours
  • RES 420 Graduation Workshop             3 Credit hours (attending, no test)
Q. How do I get a copy of formal transcripts?
