Course Title: BIB 110 Theology/Bibliology

Course Description: God reveals himself to be a Trinity in the Bible. To know God, we therefore need to understand both his nature and the nature of Scripture through the study of theology proper and Bibliology. Topics in Bibliology covered include inspiration, inerrancy, the canon, and interpretation. Topics in theology proper covered include the names of God, his attributes, and his Trinitarian existence. Students will value the Bible as special revelation through which we know God.

Course Description: The pinnacle of Creation is humanity. The theological study of anthropology examines our existence and condition from creation to fall. The study of hamartiology studies the origin, transmission, and ramifications of sin.

Course description: God’s acts must be known from the beginning to know the end. We therefore survey each book of the Old Testament to consider the Creation, man’s fall, and God’s promise to redeem. The course is organized around the Covenants to understand God’s interaction with mankind. Students will appreciate God’s special relationship with Israel and the value of prophecy for understanding the New Covenant.

Course description: The four Gospels written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John identify Jesus as the promised Messiah. We will explore the words, miracles, and message of the Messiah in chronological order to understand Jesus’s mission and its opposition. The course focuses upon the latter, more controversial portion of Jesus’s ministry. Students will fall more in love with their Savior through the study of Christ’s Passion concluding with his triumphal Resurrection.

Students will study the book in its entirety to make sense of its many unfamiliar and ambiguous elements.
